Indore: Khajrana police on Sunday arrested two persons allegedly involved in a series of mobile snatching incidents across the city.The duo was traced down with the help of CCTV footage and description of their motorcycle provided by the witness. The action was taken on complaint of a man, Shivkumar Kanade, a resident of Khajrana. He told police that on Thursday night, he was walking home when two men on a bike snatched his phone before speeding away.Police said further investigation revealed that the same suspects carried out similar crime near Robot square and Malviya Nagar petrol pump on the same night.A team led by Khajrana police station in-charge Manoj Sendhav identified the suspects as Sufiyan and Arjun. After being taken into custody, the duo confessed to multiple snatching. They revealed that they committed the crimes to fund their expensive lifestyle and personal hobbies.“We arrested both accused based on technical surveillance and bike numbers. They are currently being interrogated to identify other victims and recover stolen handsets,” Sendhav said. Police are also expected to take action against those involved in purchasing the stolen phones.
