Hyderabad: Kukatpally police, on Monday, arrested a 44-year-old woman on suspicion of murdering her husband, who died under suspicious circumstances a month ago.On Dec 24, Kukatpally police registered a suspicious death case based on a complaint given by the victim’s sister, D Sunitha. The victim, Sudhir Reddy, was found dead at his home. Sudhir, a private employee, lived in Eenadu Colony in Kukatpally.

Following the complaint, the police sent the body for a post-mortem examination, which revealed that the death was unnatural. Police took Sudhir’s wife, Prasana, into custody. After sustained questioning, she allegedly confessed to killing her husband due to marital issues by strangling him with a shawl. Police said that the murder took place one week after he had lodged a complaint with the police, suspecting that Prasanna might kill him. According to police, Prasanna was allegedly having an illicit relationship with another man. She was arrested and remanded in custody.
